Pictured above are
new students who want to be either elementary or middle school teachers. They
were selected (15 out of hundreds of entering elementary education freshmen) for their plans to
teach math and science at these grade levels.
As they progress towards a degree, they will be taking many classes
together such as this one, and will be worked with individually. In addition to
being together in this class, with Becky Baker and Dean Larry Banks as their instructors,
they also have laptop computers lent to them that they will be able to use as long as they
are in this program.

meeting.
